Planning Advice and Applications

Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and preservation guidelines

Contact us

For trees subject to statutory protection, Beechdown Trees offers comprehensive liaison services with local planning authorities, which typically include district councils or national park authorities. We provide expert advice on suitable pruning, tree removal, or alternative management options, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and preservation guidelines.

Our team manages the entire process of submitting planning applications for trees safeguarded by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO), as well as issuing formal written notices of intent for any works involving trees situated within designated Conservation Areas. This ensures that all necessary permissions are obtained efficiently and in accordance with legal requirements.

In circumstances where pruning or removal is necessary due to safety concerns, we prepare detailed, professionally formulated arboricultural reports to support your application, providing robust evidence to justify the proposed works.

Furthermore, when trees present an immediate risk and qualify under the “dead or dangerous” exemption outlined in Regulation 14(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Tree Preservation) (England) Regulations 2012, Beechdown Trees is authorised to issue either an immediate notice or a five-day notice of intent, enabling prompt and lawful intervention to mitigate hazards without delay.
