Planning Advice and Applications
For trees subject to statutory protection, we can liaise with local planning authorities — typically district councils or national park authorities — to provide advice on appropriate pruning, tree removal, or alternative courses of action. We also handle the submission of planning applications for trees protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO), or issue written notice of intent for works involving trees located within a Conservation Area.
If pruning or removal is required due to safety concerns, we can prepare a detailed arboricultural report to support your application. In cases where trees present an immediate hazard and fall under the "dead or dangerous" exemption (Regulation 14(2) of the Town and Country Planning [Tree Preservation] (England) Regulations 2012), we can issue an immediate notice or a five-day notice of intent to carry out the necessary works.
